On January 20, 2025, Jiangsu Pengfei Group received a thank-you letter from its client Zhongwei New Materials Co., Ltd., highly praising and appreciating Jiangsu Pengfei Group's high-quality products and efficient services in the construction of the high ice nickel production line at Zhongwei Indonesia Morowali Industrial Base.
The Zhongwei Indonesia Morowali Industrial Base has 6 sets of high ice nickel production lines with a diameter of 5.5x110m roasting kilns and a diameter of 5.0x45m drying kilns provided by Pengfei Group. They use oxygen enriched side blowing furnace technology (OESBF) to smelt laterite nickel ore, with an overall planned annual output of 60000 tons of metallic nickel. The first ice nickel production line has been officially put into operation, and after drying in a drying kiln, roasting in a rotary kiln, and melting in an oxygen enriched side blowing furnace, high ice nickel has been successfully produced. This production line has successfully applied the oxygen enriched side blowing furnace process (OESBF) for the first time in industrial smelting of laterite nickel ore, achieving a new breakthrough in global smelting technology engineering and opening up a new technological route for laterite nickel ore smelting.
Zhongwei New Materials Co., Ltd. also awarded Jiangsu Pengfei Group the honorary trophies of "Annual Excellent Supplier" and "Outstanding Contribution Partner for Overseas Projects in 2024".
